Students
“I’m really proud that I started a business as a teenager, and therefore I have an edge.”
Sujay Tyle; co-founder and CEO of Spirited Sweets (YEA! Class of 2006)

Begin as a student, graduate as a CEO!

YEA! is open to students in grades 6-12 who are interested in starting their own real business or social movement. Students do not need to have a business idea, or any business experience, but have to be motivated, excited, and have the desire to “shake things up.”

Classes meet during the academic year according to the school schedule (classes do not meet during scheduled holidays or breaks)

Over the course of the year, students brainstorm business ideas, write business plans, pitch those plans to “investors” for funding, participate in trade shows, and actually launch their own REAL businesses or social movements. In addition, students file DBA paperwork, get an EIN number, open a bank account, work with professionals to create marketing materials and websites, and interact with the business community.

Past Young Entrepreneurs Academy students have helped provide aid to foreign countries, created social online networks for teens, traveled to the Caribbean to shoot videos - even purchased their own paintball fields!

You never know who may come up with the next big idea!
